David Wigley was a professional cricketer at Yorkshire CCC, Worcestershire CCC and Northants CCC.

He has taken 136 1st-class wickets, including four 5-wicket hauls, one against Pakistan in 2006, and 9 wickets in a match on two occasions, one of these against New Zealand in 2008.

David is also an accomplished lower order batsman, scoring two 1st-class 50s, with a highest 1st-class score of 70, and a county second XI 133 off 78 balls  

David progressed through Yorkshire CCC age-group squads and Academy. In 2001 he signed his first professional contract, making his 1st-class and 1-day debuts in 2002.

Along side studying for his Loughborough degree in Sport and Exercise Science, David moved to Worcestershire where he contributed for 3 seasons, when study allowed.

At the end of 2005, David moved to Northants where he played until an injection to relieve back pain went badly wrong in 2010 and resuslted in him being admitted into hospital on three occasions. He found himself out of contract and unable to prove his fitness in time to justify getting re-signed.

David has completed his ECB level 3 coaching qualifacation and is the professional cricket coach at Old Northamptonions in the Northants Premier Leage.

David also is a confident public speaker and is available for after dinner speaking and master of ceremonies.
